AIM
The purpose of the course is to provide military and civilian personnel at NATO, NATO Nation, Partner Nations and Organisations Headquarters with fundamental knowledge of LOGFAS system with focus on building and managing logistics database with practical usage including specific case studies.

TARGET AUDIENCE
(1) Military officers (OF-1 through OF-4) and NCOs (OR-4 through OR-9), or their civilian equivalents, joint or combined organizations that are assigned to, or selected for assignment to NATO or national positions that involve management of logistic information in National or Multinatinal single or joint operations and/or exercises
(2) Language Proficiency: English 3232 IAW STANAG 6001
TRAINING STRATEGY
This course is comprised of lectures, computer work with LOGFAS software, individual and group exercises using LOGFAS software with putting the emphasise on case studies.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
PO 1: Recognize LOGFAS and its modules and features.
PO 2: Manage logistics data and operate follow on modules at the general level: LCM - LOGFAS Connection Manager, LDM – LOGFAS Data Management Module, GEOMAN – Geographical Manager Module.

INSTRUCTORS:

OF-3 Igor BETKIER, PhD
Igor Betkier is a NATO LOGFAS Instructor and an expert for Polish Armed Forces. He received the PhD degree in civil engineering and transportation from Warsaw University of Technology, Poland in 2021. He is currently a Research Assistant at the Institute of Logistics, Military University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland. He was awarded the prize from Polish Prime Minister for an outstanding PhD dissertation in 2021. He received a research grant as a Project Manager in competition financed by Polish National Scientific Centre. His research interests include the transportation software development, vehicle routing problem (VRP), transportation planning, transport safety, and AI application in transportation problems. He participated in various NATO exercises such as Defender, Saber Strike and Connected Logisticians.

OF-2 Grzegorz WIEJAK
Grzegorz Wiejak is a NATO LOGFAS Instructor and an expert for Polish Armed Forces. He received his MSc Eng degree in logistics. Currently he is a Senior Engineer at the Institute of Logistics, Military University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland. He is the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Military Logistics Systems Journal and member of the Subcommittee on Military Terminology of the Polish Military Standardization Committee. He was a member of core planning team and participated in various NATO exercises such as Connected Logisticians and Capable Deployer.
